Welcome Back Bentley Service-Learning Student Volunteers!
February 22, 2016
Bentley Service-Learning students are volunteering at GWArc again this semester, continuing this popular program which was reinstated in the Fall of 2015.

A rotating group of 12 students volunteer Monday through Thursday mornings each week in GWArc's Day Habilitation program at 56 Chestnut Street. With staff supervision, students work one-on-one with GWArc participants on iPad usage, cooking projects, plant care and arts and crafts. Students also accompany participants and staff on community trips.

GWArc participants and staff look forward to and greatly enjoy the students' visits, which provide students an opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with individuals with developmental disabilities.

As part of their volunteer efforts, for which they receive course credit, students will be developing their own projects to use with participants while volunteering,
